Food Safety & Compliance Supervisor

Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and maintaining the highest operational standards? We’re looking for a Food Safety & Compliance Supervisor to support our kitchen facility and production teams and ensure our site consistently meets the highest levels of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
Working within a small, collaborative team, this will be a hands‑on role where you will combine food safety oversight with practical support across the manufacturing process.
About the Role
In this key role, you will help maintain an audit‑ready site through effective internal auditing, documentation control, and close collaboration with our production teams.
You will work alongside our Food Safety Consultants and Operational Managers to ensure food safety systems, traceability processes, and hygiene practices are consistently followed and continuously improved.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being both technically detailed and operationally involved, helping teams maintain high standards while supporting day‑to‑day production when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and follow up on non‑conformance reports and corrective actions.
* Conduct internal audits, Good Manufacturing Process checks, and hygiene inspections across the site.
* Maintain and update food safety documentation, including HACCP plans, SOPs, and technical manuals.
* Support production teams to meet hygiene, food safety, and compliance standards.
* Work closely with operational teams to ensure traceability and documentation are completed accurately.
* Promote a positive food safety culture and accountability across the business.
* Assist with preparation for customer and food safety audits.
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience in food safety, technical compliance, QA, or a similar role within food manufacturing.
* Good understanding of HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes, hygiene standards, and food safety audit requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and confidence managing documentation and record keeping.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with teams at all levels.
* A proactive and practical approach, comfortable working in a hands‑on operational environment.
Desirable (but not essential)
* Food Safety Level 3 or above.
* Internal auditing qualification (or willingness to train).
* Experience working with external auditors or food safety consultants.
