About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team delivering high-spec mechanical and electrical projects across the UK. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from either Leeds or Livingston, with occasional travel to project sites.
You’ll be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of M&E installations, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering
Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration
Monitor project progress, variations, and valuations
Prepare interim and final accounts
Collaborate with project teams to ensure commercial alignment
Provide risk management and cost forecastingRequirements
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E or construction sector
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
Proficiency in cost management tools and MS Office
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
