Job Description General Manager – Vulcan – Submarines Onsite Caithness You will lead the Vulcan NRTE team and ensure delivery of safety, programme, customer and financial objectives. What you will be doing Put Safety First. Ensure effective implementation of company and site HSE policy. Be accountable for site safety performance, acting as Vulcan Accountable Person within the RR Accountability Framework. Participate as required in key site safety forums (eg. VSSC, VHSEC) Leadership and Resourcing. Lead and ensure appropriate professional development of all Vulcan employees. Ensure appropriate resourcing and levels of (N)SQEP to support all site programmes and other business demands, now and in the future. Act as a member of the Services DBU senior leadership team Regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the site Authorisee's office to ensure an effective delivery of all Authorisation conditions, and all other regulatory requirements, liaising as required with DNSR and other relevant regulatory bodies Delivery. Ensure all site programme (PIE, MCP, Site Management, Waste, Hazard Reduction, Project Saltus), customer and financial performance in line with commitments Future Strategy. Lead development of options and associated business appraisals for realisation of an ensuring RR presence in Caithness and associated retention of key skills and capabilities, at Vulcan or elsewhere. Execute and deliver chosen CoA in this regard. Ensure continued senior support and influence to Project Saltus for delivery of an efficient and effective site handover to NDA, in event of SDA decision-making in support of this direction Influence and Collaboration. Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with a full range of internal and external stakeholders.
