Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in mechanical fabrication and assembly? Looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real impact on manufacturing efficiency and workflow?
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Gloucester, supporting the end-to-end production process of bespoke mechanical equipment. This is a key role that acts as a bridge between engineering and the workshop – ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and timely delivery of components.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Creating and maintaining detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for mechanical assemblies
Managing engineering drawings, issue control, and revision updates
Coordinating with engineering, purchasing, and the shop floor to manage material flow
Updating the MRP system with material status, shortages, and order tracking
Providing the workshop with accurate kits, documentation, and assembly aids
Supporting quality control, traceability, and inspection readiness
Solving production queries in collaboration with engineering teams
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or fabrication engineering role
Strong understanding of mechanical or special-purpose equipment
Confident reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and assembly layouts
Familiar with MRP or ERP systems
Great coordination and communication skills across teams
Bonus Points For:
Knowledge of mechanical fabrication standards (e.g. MEP)
Awareness of workshop safety procedures and site readiness
