About Us Progressive Independence is opening a new 4-bed supported accommodation home in Rhostyllen, Wrexham, for young people aged. Our service provides safe and structured accommodation to help young people develop independence, resilience, and the skills needed for adulthood. The home is registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) as a domiciliary support service, in line with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (RISCA). We also adopt the Ofsted Supported Accommodation Standards (England 2023), ensuring consistency across all our services. The Role As a Support Worker, you will: Build positive, trusting relationships with young people. Support education, training, and community participation. Promote independence through budgeting, cooking, and self-care. Safeguard young people, following CIW and company policies. Contribute to support planning, risk assessments, and reports. Carry out health and safety checks and support daily routines. Work flexibly across evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Requirements Experience with children or young people (supported accommodation or residential desirable). Calm, resilient, and adaptable. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Essential: Commitment to complete Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) within 12 months. Enhanced DBS required. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary £60 per sleep-in.
