Are you passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to kick-start your culinary career? Novotel Liverpool Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in all kitchen areas.
Support in the setup and clearing of kitchen stations for daily service.
Follow kitchen procedures and recipes consistently.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
A passion for food and a desire to develop culinary skills.
Some experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential-training will be provided.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
No formal qualifications required, but a basic food hygiene certificate is desirable.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential - we are happy to train the right candidate.
A keen interest in food preparation and presentation.
NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Professional Cookery (or working towards it) is a plus, but not mandatory.
Awareness of health and safety and food hygiene standards in the kitchen.
