Community Staff Nurse 0-19 Universal Children’s Services
We are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic staff nurses who would like to work in Redbridge alongside our 0-19 skill mix team (Health Visiting and School Nursing). We currently have two vacancies within the team, one full time (37.5 hours) and one 3 days per week (22.5 hours). Both roles give the opportunity for part‑time, flexible and condensed hours.
Our vision for delivering the Healthy Child Programme, in partnership with key partners, is to ensure that every child in Redbridge has the very best start in life, and grows up to be happy, safe, healthy, confident and resilient.
We support all staff with a robust system of managerial, clinical and safeguarding supervision. Candidates should have good clinical and motivational skills, and an understanding of key policies relating to children.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Deliver itemised elements of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) and provide child health screening and health promotion activities.
* Support parenting in a variety of environments, including the family home, clinics, schools and Family Hubs.
* Identify health needs with children and families and, in agreement with the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), plan, deliver and review evidence‑based interventions to improve outcomes.
* Engage actively with a diverse range of clients in a multidisciplinary and multi‑agency setting.
Additional information:
* New starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks.
* This post will be subject to a probationary period unless the applicant is an internal applicant currently part of a probationary period or a bank member of staff.
* The role attracts a High‑Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum £4,714, maximum £5,941) pro rata for part‑time staff.
* While the Trust is a registered sponsor organisation, it is unable to offer sponsorship for all job roles.
