Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office location, but open to candidates in London/UK willing to travel to HQ once a month, expenses covered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extendable to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the client's global visual merchandising strategy, collaborating with stakeholders, developing fixture and event designs, and ensuring brand messaging consistency across channels. Responsible for delivering innovative retail experiences aligned with brand and business goals across physical distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and execute visual merchandising and store expression per brand guidelines, collaborating on POS materials for all distribution points.
* Create CPAs/schedules, assess risks for VM projects.
* Maintain the VM Master List for all projects, flag risks, and propose solutions.
* Coordinate retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM master calendar to ensure timely delivery.
* Develop visual merchandising design briefs based on input from sales, marketing, and retail partners.
* Create planograms, optimize shelf productivity, and understand POS manufacturing and materials.
* Handle POs, track CAPEX/OPEX costs, and maintain the VM budget and tracker.
Role requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty or FMCG.
* Bachelor's Degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
* Strong understanding of technical aspects of VM, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
* Ability to interpret technical/manufacturing drawings.
* Knowledge of project management principles for large, complex projects.
* Excellent organizational skills, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
* Confident in creating and presenting VM proposals to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
* Strong interpersonal skills, team player, capable of building relationships with stakeholders.
