A caring and inclusive specialist primary provision in Warminster is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their committed staff team immediately on a full-time permanent basis.
This rewarding setting supports pupils aged 6 to 11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Staff work closely together to provide a structured, nurturing and engaging environment where children can feel secure, develop confidence and enjoy learning again.
The Role
The successful candidate will support pupils both individually and within small groups, helping them manage emotions, engage positively with activities and develop communication and social skills.
You will play an important role in creating a calm and encouraging atmosphere where pupils feel understood, supported and motivated throughout the school day.
The role also involves working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to help pupils achieve both educational and personal development goals.
Candidate Requirements
This opportunity would suit someone patient, resilient and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to education.
Previous experience supporting SEN or SEMH pupils is highly desirable, although transferable childcare, mentoring or youth work experience will also be considered.
Strong communication skills, emotional resilience and the ability to build positive professional relationships are essential for this rewarding role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
