About the role
Join our friendly team at the University of Plymouth, Centre for Eyecare Excellence (CEE) as an Optical Assistant. This varied role combines patient-facing care with administrative support. You’ll assist with frame adjustments and dispensing, as well as delegated clinical tasks such as operating visual field equipment.
While optical experience is an advantage, it’s not essential – we will provide training. What matters most is that you are organised, reliable, and confident in dealing with patients. Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage bookings efficiently are key to success in this role.
If you’re proactive, people-focused, and keen to support both patients and clinicians, we’d love to hear from you.
