Behaviour Mentor Location: Epworth Salary: £95 - £120 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome behavioural challenges and achieve success? GSL Education are seeking a motivated Behaviour Mentor to join schools in Epworth, providing targeted support to pupils who require guidance in managing their behaviour and emotions. Role Overview: In this role, you will work closely with students to develop positive behaviour strategies, improve social skills, and build resilience. You’ll collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and families to create a consistent and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and academic engagement. Main Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor: Deliver personalised behaviour support to individuals and small groups Develop and implement behaviour management plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs Mentor students to improve emotional regulation, social interactions, and self-confidence Monitor and record behavioural incidents and progress, providing feedback to staff and parents Support pupils during transitions, break times, and unstructured periods Liaise with external agencies and contribute to multi-agency meetings when required Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive school culture Behaviour Mentor Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs or SEMH challenges Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies and restorative practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 or equivalent are desirable but not essential Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one) Why Choose GSL Education?
