We're currently looking for an Internal Communications Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract to play a key role in delivering clear, consistent, and purposeful communications across our Group. Based within our Newcaslte upon Tyne People Team and reporting to the Chief People Officer, you'll lead the day-to-day execution of group internal communications — ensuring colleagues feel informed, engaged, and connected to our strategy and culture.
You'll collaborate closely with divisional comms teams and external communications colleagues to ensure messaging is aligned, well-timed, and impactful.
What you'll be doing
* Leading communications for key Group colleague forums, including the Colleague Engagement Forum.
* Managing engagement survey communications — from launch campaigns to results and action planning
* Creating and delivering engaging content across newsletters, intranet, and leadership updates
* Supporting Group conferences and leadership events, including content development and post-event communications
* Coordinating internal messaging linked to external announcements and media activity
* Working with divisional comms teams to ensure consistent rollout of Group initiatives
* Tracking engagement metrics and continuously improving our communications approach
What we're looking for
* Experience in an internal communications role
* Strong writing skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
* Excellent planning and stakeholder management skills
* Confidence working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
* Experience collaborating with external comms teams or PR agencies is a plus
