Responsibilities
* Ensure workload is prioritised and allocated on an equitable basis within the community children’s nursing team.
* Co-ordinate community children’s nursing caseloads effectively and identify to line manager when vacancies impact on service delivery.
* Participate in the development of standards, policies, procedures and protocols of nursing care and ensure their implementation in his/her area of responsibility.
* To act in accordance with the NMC code of Professional Conduct and ensure other nursing staff do likewise in the pursuit of their duties.
Skills and Qualifications
* Registered on Live NMC register Part 1 (Children)
* Qualification in Community Children’s Nursing (CCN)
* Worked for a minimum of 3 years at Band 5 managing a community children’s nursing caseload
* Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
* This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
