Mechanical Technician (37 hour week | Early finish Friday | Overtime available)

A specialist engineering manufacturer in North Yorkshire is recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join its production team assembling complex mechanical and hydraulic systems used on advanced engineering equipment delivered worldwide.
Working within a skilled engineering build team, this role involves mechanical assembly, hydraulic hose and pipework installation, and testing of precision mechanical equipment where quality, accuracy and reliability are essential.
Responsibilities
* Assemble mechanical and hydraulic systems from engineering drawings and technical build documentation
* Manufacture and install hydraulic hoses, pipework and associated fittings
* Build mechanical sub assemblies and larger engineered equipment
* Carry out pressure testing and functional testing of completed systems
* Use a range of hand tools and mechanical workshop equipment
* Work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure equipment is built to specification
* Maintain high standards of quality, traceability and workshop safety

About You
* Mechanical background within engineering or manufacturing
* Experience assembling mechanical systems, hydraulic components, pipework or specialist equipment
* Confident reading engineering drawings and following technical build documentation
* Strong practical skills using hand tools and workshop equipment
* Experience working within a quality driven engineering environment
This role would suit Mechanical Technicians or Engineering Technicians with experience assembling mechanical or hydraulic systems within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
