Acoustic Consultant - Glasgow
An established multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Glasgow. This Acoustic Consultant role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK and Ireland, supporting clients in understanding and managing noise and vibration impacts.
The successful Acoustic Consultant will contribute to a wide variety of developments, including residential and mixed-use schemes, energy and infrastructure projects (such as wind farms), transport, industrial and manufacturing sites, and minerals, waste and remediation sectors. As an Acoustic Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering noise and vibration assessments for planning and environmental purposes
Undertaking environmental noise surveys, monitoring and acoustic measurements
Supporting the preparation of technical reports for planning applications, EIAs, and environmental permits
Assisting with acoustic modelling and data analysis
Engaging with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to project delivery across all stages, from early planning through to operationRequirements:
A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Physics, or a related discipline
Experience in environmental acoustics or a similar field
Understanding of UK guidance and standards relating to noise and vibration
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
