Care Assistants Female Drivers & Walkers | Shift Pay (Not Pay-Per-Call) Are you the person friends and family turn to when they need help? Where You’ll Work You’ll need to be based in South Manchester, as you’ll be joining a dedicated care team supporting people in their own homes across Baguley, Brooklands, Didsbury, Northenden, Peel Hall and Wythenshawe (M20, M21, M22 & M23). Pay, Shift Pay & Hours We offer shift pay rather than pay-per-call – you are paid from the start of your first call to the end of your last call within a shift. £12.82 p/hr – drivers £12.25 p/hr – walkers Mileage: 45p per mile for drivers & 20p per mile for cyclists Part-time and full-time hours availableWeekend shifts available Shift patterns (2-week rota): Early shift: 7:00am – 2:00pm Late shift: 3:00pm – 10:00pm Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday Job Description If you have previous experience as a Carer for family or friends, you’ll make an excellent Care Assistant in South Manchester. As a Care Assistant for Be Caring, you will: Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals. Provide personal care that protects people's dignity. Promote independence using enabling approaches. Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control. Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time. Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services. Induction Training We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. You may have no direct experience, or you may have been a Carer for a friend or family member. Regardless, we will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Care Assistant. As a Care Assistant for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on: Be Caring values, going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes. Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity Confidentiality and professional boundaries. Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication. Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red) Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
