4. Organise and support enrichment and enhancement activities, including employer engagement and external visits, to provide learning beyond the classroom.
5. Take ownership of student attendance and engagement, using reporting tools to identify at-risk learners and implementing proactive interventions.
6. Support students through challenges by maintaining close communication with them and their families, making daily calls where necessary, arranging interventions, and re-engaging learners through personalised action plans.
7. Set and review SMART targets with individual learners to track progress and drive improvement.
8. Work closely with the Group’s Additional Learning Support team, ensuring every learner receives the tailored support they need.
9. Collaborate with students, parents/carers, and cross-college support staff to remove barriers to success.
10. Promote a culture of respect, motivation, and ambition, addressing inappropriate behaviour in line with college policies.
11. Help students see beyond their qualifications by supporting progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.
12. Stay up to date with student management and communication strategies, ensuring best practice in pastoral support.
13. Deliver high quality always, everywhere - work with internal and external partners to create meaningful opportunities for student growth and success.

What You Will Be Doing:

14. Delivering engaging pastoral and employability sessions as part of our Child, Health & Social Work programmes, ensuring students develop essential life and career skills.
15. Planning and preparing high-quality learning experiences that support students’ personal and professional development.
16. Communicating with parents and guardians to encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
17. Working collaboratively with the department to support students in achieving their qualifications and future career aspirations.
