1 admin assistant to support the teldermatology service which is based at Hollinswood House, Telford. This will be for 6 months to cover maternity leave.
The postholder will be working 18.5 hours working Monday - Wednesday.
We are looking for proactive individuals to join our CDC Service to provide administrative support. This is an interesting and challenging role, helping enable the smooth running of the Teledermatology service and the patients experience through the cancer pathway and their ongoing care.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be efficient at organising and prioritising a busy workload and remain calm under pressure to achieve tight deadlines. The candidates must have an understanding of patient and data confidentiality and its importance.
Main duties of the job
* Establish and maintain office processes, complete the required preparation for the clinics and to be visible and present. Previous experience of local hospital systems would be advantageous.
* Track patients progress following their Teledermatology appointment, uploading and action each patients outcome with appropriate teams.
* To speak to patients, reassuringly and informative.
* To proactively take steps to ensure that patients treatment schedules are actioned.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent) English to Grade 9 - 4 (C or above).
* NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration or Customer Care/ IT or equivalent qualifications or the ability to demonstrate the equivalent experience gained in a similar role.
* Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development
Previous Experience
* Experience of working autonomously in an administrative and clerical role
* Working knowledge of validating patient pathways to ensure they provide an accurate record
* Working of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions
* Demonstrable understanding of the NHS 18 week target and associated principles
* Experience of operational administrative work within the NHS
* Relevant knowledge and experience of tracking patients through the 18 week and cancer pathways
Skills and Knowledge
* Demonstrable understanding of patient priorities and performance standards relating to appointments and waiting times
* Evidence of ability to manage own workload effectively.
* Experience of using a full range of IT systems including Microsoft Office and patient administration/data systems
