Job Title: Bid & Tender Writer
Location: Croydon, Office Based/Hybrid
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Job Role:
As a Bid & Tender Writer, you will be responsible for analysing tender documents, preparing and submitting bids and PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), and crafting compelling responses for both new and existing clients. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong writing skills, and the ability to manage inputs from various stakeholders to produce winning tender responses. You will maintain and develop an effective bid library and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Bid Team and the wider Business Development function.

Role and Responsibilities:
* Thoroughly analyse tender documents to identify key requirements and areas needing further clarification.
* Prepare and submit high-quality bids and PQQs in a timely manner.
* Identify and seek clarification on any ambiguous areas within tender documents.
* Write original and compelling responses for bids and proposals, ensuring they are relevant, accurate, and professional.
* Maintain and develop an effective bid library for use in future submissions.
* Manage inputs from a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, subcontractors, and third parties.
* Review past submissions to gather feedback and lessons learned, promoting continuous improvement within the Bid Team and Business Development function.
* Support the documentation of bid strategy, differentiators, win themes, key messages, and content for proposals and presentations.
* Identify and support internal change projects necessary to remain competitive in bids.
* Introduce and manage necessary bid processes and procedures.
* Conduct detailed research of individual clients and sectors to tailor proposals accordingly.
* Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market trends to inform bid strategies.
* Understand and document business processes throughout the organization for accurate tender responses.
* Manage and update the JBM tender library to ensure it remains a valuable resource for the team.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in bid writing or a related field
* Strong analytical and writing skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of bid processes and procedures.
* Understanding of business processes and market trends
