Your Role
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in helping submarines meet stringent stealth performance goals. Your responsibilities will include:
Core Duties:
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide critical noise & vibration data that influences design decisions.
* Mentoring and developing junior engineers within our growing team.
* Conducting equipment condition-based monitoring and diagnostics assessments (ISO 18436).
* Effectively communicating and coordinating teams.
* Identifying opportunities for improvement in technical tasks.
* Challenging traditional approaches with an innovative mindset.
* Adapting positively to changes in a dynamic environment.
Essential Skills
* A strong STEM background (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
* Proficiency in at least one acquisition software (e.g., Siemens LMS, HBK Connect) or experience in rotating machinery commissioning/instrumentation.
* The ability to discuss technical findings with stakeholders from various technical backgrounds.
* In-depth knowledge of noise and vibration measurement techniques and data analysis.
About the Stealth Engineering Department (NAVED)
You’ll be part of a dedicated team responsible for stealth assessments, ranging from single-equipment tests to measuring hundreds of transducers during critical commissioning phases on one of the UK’s most complex engineering platforms. This role offers exposure across multiple programs and business functions.
We also provide relocation support for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
