Were looking for a skilled and safety-driven HGV professional to take on a key regional position, supporting the development of around 80 professional drivers across East Anglia.

What youll do
As Regional Driver Trainer, youll be responsible for enhancing driver standards and compliance across several operational sites. Youll:
Deliver engaging, practical, and classroom-based driver training and assessments.
Coach and mentor drivers and apprentices, supporting them throughout their learning and development journey.
Lead refresher and induction programmes focused on safety, compliance, and customer service.
Support the regional transport leadership team in maintaining consistent driver standards across all sites.
Audit and analyse training outcomes, tachograph data, and safety reports to identify and address trends.
Collaborate with national training and compliance teams to share insights and continuously improve standards.
This is a hands-on role with real variety; one day youll be on-site conducting assessments, the next youll be shaping development plans or supporting incident reviews.
About you
Youll bring proven experience behind the wheel and a genuine enthusiasm for developing others. Youll also have:
A current HGV licence and strong knowledge of driver compliance, WTD, and safe driving practices.
Confidence in engaging and coaching people at all levels.
A proactive, detail-focused approach with a passion for safety and continuous improvement.
Willingness to travel regularly between regional sites (Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough & Norwich).
Desirable (training can be supported):
Formal teaching, coaching, or training qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education & Training).
CPC in Road Haulage (National/International).
Experience within LPG, fuel, utilities, or other high-risk logistics environments.
ADR awareness or certification.
