Job Title: Locum SPR in General Anaesthetics
Location: West Midlands
Rate: £60-£70
Contract Type: Locum (short-term and long-term assignments available)
Start Date: ASAP
Minimum 4 years experience in UK anaesthesia
Has an in date ALS.
Is not subject to complaints / disciplinary measures etc.
Passed Primary FRCA
Able to assess critically unwell patients in ED/ward
Institute stabilisation/resuscitation, including CVC/A-line, of critically unwell patients in ICU and remote sites
Airway competent and experience of being on 1st-on-call rota (or above)
Competent in transfer of level 2/3 patients (intra and inter-hospital)
Worked in a similar or bigger sized obstetric unit in the UK including Labour ward on-calls
Liaise with the on call team to provide safe anaesthesia for expectant parturient.
A mixture of Days and Nights (12.5hours) 0800-2030/2000-0830 for Theatre/ICU on-calls.
A mixture of Days and Nights (11.75/12.75) 0800-1945/1930-0815 hours for Obstetric on-call shifts.

What We're Looking For
Essential:
13. MBBS or equivalent medical degree
14. Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
15. Relevant postgraduate training or experience in the specialty
16. A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
17. UK Right to Work
18. Strong communication and teamworking skills
Desirable:
19. Specialty training at ST3+ level or equivalent
