Description
We are looking for an IT Trackside Operational Technician to deliver a high standard of IT support across critical environments - including Trackside, Mission Control, and Simulator facilities. In this role, you’ll also manage the full logistics lifecycle of IT hardware, ensuring our equipment is maintained, serviced, shipped, and race-ready at all times. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role where attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage IT freight logistics: preparation, shipment, maintenance, return, and traceability of kits worldwide.
* Maintain asset registers and freight manifests, ensuring accuracy of hardware condition, readiness, and documentation.
* Oversee hardware replenishment and replacement cycles to support global event demands.
* Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and event organisers to ensure seamless integration with technical infrastructure.
* Coordinate external contractors for equipment servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
* Log, monitor, and prioritise requests, incidents, and project tasks, escalating when required.
* Provide IT infrastructure support across client, server, storage, networking, audio/visual.
* Provide on-site IT support to key stakeholders at track and factory.
* Deliver mission control IT support on a rotational basis.
* Contribute to ongoing and new systems projects both at the factory and trackside.
* Ensure compliance with IT processes, health & safety, and company standards at all times.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong knowledge of logistics coordination and freight lifecycle management.
* Enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to build strong working relationships.
* Experience in asset tracking and IT hardware inventory management.
* Excellent communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
* Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
* Good working knowledge of IT hardware and infrastructure in demanding, high-performance environments.
* Ability to work under pressure with calmness and confidence.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a results-driven mindset.
