Start where purpose meets possibility.

At the Wise Group, we’re not driven by profit — we’re driven by impact. Every opportunity we pursue, every partnership we build, and every life we help transform brings us closer to our vision of a fairer, greener, more inclusive society.

As we enter a bold new phase of our Transforming Lives Strategy, we’re building a dynamic new Business Development function — designed to match our ambition, agility, and purpose. We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping that journey — helping us find, develop, and win opportunities that deliver real change for communities across the UK.

The Role

As a Business Development Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our new approach to growth — blending creativity, analysis, and collaboration to help us build the next generation of Wise Group programmes. You will:

* Identify and track new funding and partnership opportunities across government, local authorities, and charitable funders.
* Lead the development of smaller grant and tender submissions (typically up to £500K) that align with our purpose and strategy.
* Coordinate inputs and insights across teams to produce high-quality, timely proposals.
* Build and maintain relationships with key funders, partners, and stakeholders — representing the Wise Group’s values and impact in every interaction.
* Research emerging markets, commissioner priorities, policy shifts to help us stay ahead of the curve.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ready to grow — combining hands‑on bid and partnership experience with a strong sense of curiosity, purpose, and ambition.

About You

You’ll bring:

* Experience in business development, bid coordination, fundraising, or partnership roles, ideally in the public, voluntary, or social enterprise sectors.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, and confidence managing multiple workstreams.
* Excellent written ability and an eye for detail.
* Curiosity about policy, funding, and social change — and a hunger to learn.
* A collaborative, proactive spirit that thrives in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Most importantly, you’ll share our belief that growth is about people — not just performance.

A Workplace That Works for You

We’re proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s most progressive, people‑centred employers. At the Wise Group, you’ll join a community that is flexible, inclusive, and deeply human. We put people at the heart of everything we do — supporting every colleague to learn, lead, and thrive.

We offer genuine flexibility, a hybrid model that values balance and trust, and a workplace that celebrates ambition, collaboration, kindness, and innovation. When our people flourish, our impact grows — and that’s what makes the Wise Group one of the best places to work in our sector.

Ready to build your future with us?

If you’re motivated by purpose, fuelled by curiosity, and ready to help grow one of the UK’s most distinctive social enterprises, we’d love to hear from you.
