As a Team Leader you will be a positive role model, engaging, coaching and supporting your team to achieve their targets. You will assist your Line Manager to achieve the quality and performance standards within your team. This will be achieved by agreeing, implementing, and monitoring individual and team objectives.

Alongside your Team Leader role, you will perform your primary role as a QC Inspector whilst supporting your Line Manager with all people management within your team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform daily target checks.

· Encourage your team to deliver team targets and be confident in suggesting improvements.

· Provide support to your team when necessary, acting as trainer/mentor providing technical assistance.

· Provide an alternative point of contact for employee queries.

· Note taking in confidential meetings (i.e., investigations, recorded conversations.)

· Support Line Manager to monitor the team to check they comply to all health & safety regulations and company policies. Reporting any issues to your Line Manager.

· Communicate where appropriate, information relating to the performance of the team to your Line Manager.

· Recommend/make suggestions to improve your team’s performance to your Line Manager.

· Identify opportunities for training needs within your team and ensure these are implemented where possible.

· Take part in stock take.

· Support Line Manager in resolving workforce needs and shortages.

· Ensure that agreed targets are met whilst ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.

In your Line Managers absence, you will cover their role taking on the following responsibilities:

· Hold morning meetings with the team.

· Conduct basic housekeeping responsibilities.

· Log absence on Dayforce taking advice from HR when necessary.

· Recording any behaviour concerns and feedback to your Line Manager.

· Handing of confidential employee information (i.e. absence data.)

· Communicate with other Team Leaders to ensure equal share of responsibilities and workload.

INSPECTION ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Promote the highest possible quality standards at all times.

· Maintain all daily, weekly and monthly figures to ensure they are correct and kept updated for KPI use.

In the Quality Supervisors absence, you will cover their role taking on the following responsibilities:

· Maintain hourly work output paperwork for Quality Manager to approve upon their return.

· Ensure basic output figures are maintained.

· Conduct basic housekeeping responsibilities.

· Participate in team meetings chairing at least once a week.

· Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.

· Work with your functional team to achieve shared objectives.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

· Strong communication skills – written and verbal.

· Demonstrates energy, commitment and focus to ensure delivery of results, particularly team targets.

· Motivated to identify problems and implement solutions.

· Proven ability in producing accurate work with attention to detail.

· Ability to work in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality.

· Familiar with word, excel and email.

· Proven flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes.

· Experienced in developing and maintaining successful working relationships with key stakeholders.

· Enjoys working as part of a team.

· Works well under pressure.

· Enjoys working in a hands-on role.
