Job Description
We’re looking for a Client Reporting & Valuation Analyst to join our growing team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone motivated, curious, and eager to build a career within investment operations. You’ll play a key role in producing accurate valuations and client reports, supporting strong governance, and helping us deliver an excellent service to clients across the UK and internationally.
What you’ll be doing
* Preparing accurate portfolio valuations and client reports, ensuring all checks are completed
* Delivering a variety of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting tasks
* Supporting colleagues and third‑party providers by responding to queries and resolving issues
* Building knowledge of financial instruments, including fixed income and derivatives
* Using analytical skills to identify discrepancies and supporting their resolution
* Communicating clearly with internal teams and external partners to keep work on track
* Contributing to process improvements and supporting a strong control environment
* Documenting tasks and following procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy and delivery
Qualifications
* Experience in valuations, fund accounting or investment reporting within financial services
* Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Understanding of how portfolios are valued and how financial reports are produced
* Degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Professional qualifications such as CFA, IMC, ACCA or CIPM (advantageous but not essential)
* Confidence using financial tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, SQL, Power BI) and strong Excel skills
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and enjoyment of problem‑solving
