Avencia are partnered with a leading insurer who are looking to recruit an Underwriting Support Assistant in their Leeds office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team with a strong reputation, dealing with a wide variety of care policies.
The team offer hybrid working, currently going into the office three days a week and working from home two days.
Responsibilities
Provide and maintain high-standard technical underwriting support to the renewals team
Accurate, timely data input into relevant underwriting systems
Liaise with brokers as required
Build and maintain relationships within the team and wider business
Request, review survey reports and issue risk requirements to brokers
Manage diary items and chase responses
Follow up renewal information with brokers via phone and email
Handle enquiries (internal and external) via email and telephone
Assist with ad hoc projects across the team and business
Skills & experience
Have good written and spoken communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Be computer literate and have the ability to develop a full understanding and capability of using our in-house and systems
Have good numerical and analytical ability and have achieved grade A-C in Maths GCSE or equivalent preferably
Be willing to study for CII qualifications - you will be supported and fully funded in the study for this qualification by the company
