What You'll Own Manage the issuance, approval, and closure of Permits to Work (PTWs) for all planned and reactive work – ensuring seamless operations while maintaining uncompromising safety standards Review and evaluate risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) submitted by contractors – using your expert eye to identify potential issues before they become problems Vetting and approval of potential contractors and suppliers for compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations – involving the examination of RAMS, training/qualifications, insurance and accreditation Support the Facilities and Project Managers as necessary, including monitoring work execution – ensuring adherence to approved controls and stepping in as the safety champion when needed Maintain accurate records and logs of all contractor documentation and work permits – creating the detailed documentation that keeps operations running smoothly Develop the companies Control & Management of Contractors policies and procedures – including creating new documents where required and leaving your mark on our safety culture Who You Are: Proven experience in a similar role within construction, facilities or industrial sectors – you've walked the walk and know what excellent contractor management looks like Knowledge of permit to work systems, RAMS, health and safety legislation (CDM, HSE guidelines etc.) – the regulations aren't just rules to you, they're the foundation of safe operations Detail orientated – ensuring contractor documentation is thoroughly examined and accurate records are maintained and updated Excellent communication and organisational skills – you can influence stakeholders and keep complex projects on track IT literate, use of MS software and other systems is necessary – technology is your ally in maintaining comprehensive oversight Confident working with diverse stakeholders and teams – from contractors to senior managers, you build relationships that deliver results Ability to adapt to changing schedules, prioritising the issuance of permits accordingly – flexibility and smart prioritisation are second nature to you Essential Qualifications: Health and Safety certification, e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent – your professional credentials back up your expertise Site management safety certification – you have the formal recognition of your safety leadership capabilities Why dnata?
