Job Title: Computer Science/Business Studies Teacher Location: Rochdale, Lancashire We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computer Science or Business Studies Teacher to join our dynamic team at a progressive educational institution in Rochdale, Lancashire. Job Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science or Business Studies up to and including GCSE level, in accordance with the National Curriculum. - Utilise state-of-the-art facilities that have been recently upgraded for the new academic year to enhance the learning experience. - Assess, monitor, and report on the attendance, progress, and development of students, providing feedback that can fortify their learning journey. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes that reflect best practices and innovation in teaching. - Support and guide students with various learning needs, ensuring an inclusive educational environment. - Engage with parents/guardians to foster a partnership that supports the academic and personal development of each student. - Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events. - Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice. Key Requirements: - Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. - Possess a current DBS on the update service. - Specialize in teaching either Computer Science or Business Studies. - Have at least 12 months of UK-based teaching experience, inclusive of placements. Early Career Teachers (ECT) are welcome to apply. - Demonstrated experience of teaching up to and including GCSE level. - Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Contract and Pay: - This is a full-time position, with working hours from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm. - Salary starts from £180 per day, depending on experience.
