Licensing
Full UK Manual Driving License: Essential. Must be willing to drive service vehicle.
Note: we require a female support worker due to a genuine occupational requirement for the person we are supporting; this position is exempt from the gender discrimination rule.
About Us
Malvern View is a residential service in Worcestershire specialising in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Malvern View accommodates up to 10 adults.
Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day support and routines of the individuals we serve.
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support
* Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
* Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
* Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication
* Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping
* Assisting with personal care as required
* Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking
* Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
Qualifications
* Experience in the care sector is not required; comprehensive training is provided
* A strong enthusiasm and commitment to our company values is essential
