Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Elec-bias)

Package: Up to circa £42,000 per annum (inc. Shift Allowance)

This is a permanent opportunity working for a well-established and highly successful manufacturing organisation in Telford. They are now looking to recruit an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to support all engineering activities and standards across the site. This is a great opportunity for a driven, hands-on engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving factory performance.
As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for…
• Leading health and safety best practices across engineering activities
• Managing and resolving factory breakdowns
• Supporting preventative maintenance and efficiency of all engineering plant
• Providing technical backup to production departments
• Overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with permits and risk assessments
• Maintaining engineering stores and workshop hygiene
• Working with single and three-phase electrical circuits
• Deputising for the Engineering Manager when required
What we’re looking for someone who has experience in:
• Electrical bias with 18th Edition qualification
• Multi-skilled maintenance engineering in a food production environment (3+ years)
• Holding a recognised Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship
• Food Safety Level 3 and IOSH certification
• Automation/PLC and BRC experience desirable
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
