An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team. Committed to providing an efficient and effective support to our Logistics Team, the position will be based at Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Kettering Road, Northampton.
The successful applicant must be reliable, able to work flexibly, independently and be committed to providing a quality service.
Working 12 hours per week, days and times can be discussed.

Job responsibilities
The Trust’s Transport department provides the Trust with the transportation link between all 9 hospitals, prisons, smaller Trust sites, acute hospitals and all GP surgeries in the South of the County.
The department has responsibility for all aspects of fleet management of Trust fleet and car club vehicles, car parking & permit management and EV chargers.
The Post Holder will be required to:
* Work with existing systems and processes to provide an effective administrative service to the team.
* Accurately use and maintain administrative systems within specified timescales.
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Assist the Transport Manager to ensure all invoices received by the department are accurate and processed within Trust standing financial instructions.
* Assist in raising purchase orders and keeping accurate records of invoices processed.
* File and keep department records up to date to ensure that mandatory DOH returns can be accurately completed.
* Assist the Transport Manager to ensure that the program of yearly driving licence checks for anyone driving Trust vehicles is kept up to date and compliant with Trust insurance requirements.
* Assist with queries relating to the management of the Trust’s Car Parks and permit system.
* Assist with team compliance for mandatory training, supervision and appraisals.
* Assist with the management of department generic email inboxes.
* Be proficient in using IT systems such as Word and Excel and design and build spreadsheets as required.
* Work autonomously in arranging own workload ensuring deadlines are met.
* Always demonstrate the Trust’s values in the workplace.
Person Specification
Experience
* Have excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Have excellent oral and written skills.
* Be able to work autonomously and organise own workload.
* Hold a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to be able to move around sites as required.
* Have previous experience in an NHS admin role.
Knowledge
* Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, be confident in designing and building spreadsheets.
* Have an IT qualification.
