Responsibilities
1. Staff Management Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance staff and technicians.
2. Budget & Resource Management:Oversee the maintenance budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
3. Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and procedures for equipment and facilities.
4. Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning correctly through regular inspections and repairs.
5. Safety & Compliance:Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
6. Inventory Management:Monitor spare parts, tools, and equipment inventory and place orders as needed.
7. Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
8. Record Keeping:Maintain detailed logs, reports, and records of all maintenance activities, costs, and equipment history.
9. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:Investigate issues, analyze data, and create effective solutions to prevent future problems.
Qualifications and Experience
10. Strong technical background in lift, escalator, or similar mechanical/electrical engineering field.
11. Proven leadership experience in field operations or project delivery roles is desired.
12. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering or similar technical qualification (MANDATORY).
13. SSSTS / SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
14. IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety certification (advantageous but not essential).
15. Ability to manage multiple repair projects and resources concurrently.
16. Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
17. Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring safe site practices.
18. Proficiency in utilizing computer software programs for tracking repairs and maintenance
19. Ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner
