Job Description
Our friendly team in Desborough has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join on a full-time permanent basis!
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the Shift Manager in motivating the team, ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are monitored, company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to, and that all products are picked and dispatched to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding KPIs.
Salary: £30,000 per annum.
Working hours: Any 5 in 7 days, 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating.
Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor
1. Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve or exceed productivity and service KPIs.
2. Monitor and promote good working practices in compliance with all Health and Safety laws and IPS SOPs.
3. Manage Goods Inwards to ensure quick and damage-free receipt of goods, maintaining stock availability.
4. Oversee outbound picking and loading to ensure loads are ready on time.
5. Ensure accuracy in systems for receipts and dispatches.
6. Conduct all quality and compliance checks, ensuring the operational team meets audit standards.
7. Manage team coverage and step in for Shift Managers in their absence.
8. Deliver briefings to communicate company and local issues, encouraging employee input and involvement.
9. Develop team members to maximize contributions and support succession planning.
10. Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Proficient in Excel and WMS systems.
* Confident in dealing with people at all levels.
* Adaptable with a methodical approach to work, training, and hours.
* Capable of leading a team, delegating, supervising, and motivating staff.
* Excellent communication skills for accurate information delivery.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Prioritize workload effectively, working independently or as part of a team.
