Role: Senior Staff Nurse – Urgent Care
Location: Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital, (part of HCA Healthcare UK)
Shift Times: Monday – Friday; 3 long shifts per week (8am–8pm). No nights, no weekends.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £42,500 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a talented Senior Staff Nurse – Urgent Care to join our team at The Harborne Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a Staff Nurse ready to step up, or a Senior Staff Nurse looking for their next challenge.
You’ll be joining at an exciting stage, working alongside a passionate and dynamic team, and supported by an experienced Nurse in Charge / Sister who will guide and mentor you. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses – including triage, assessment, treatment, and ongoing support. Working closely with experienced GPs, you’ll have access to the resources needed to provide the very best care.
What You’ll Bring:
1. Strong clinical skills, including: triage, wound dressing, wound care, phlebotomy, cannulation, plastering, and medication administration.
2. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
3. IT skills (desirable)
4. NMC Registration – Adult Nurse
5. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Urgent Care, Accident & Emergency, Emergency Medicine, or a similar acute setting
6. A genuine passion for delivering high standards of patient care
