Role: Quality Technician

A global manufacturer based in Knutsford is seeking a meticulous Quality Technician to strengthen its Quality and Engineering teams. You'll play a key role in managing material certifications and collaborating with suppliers and internal departments to maintain complete compliance with company and customer expectations.
Responsibilities for Quality Technician
* Resolve material certification non-conformances with suppliers, stockists, test houses and mills.
* Interface with Engineering and Quality teams on certification queries and data validation.
* Review and approve urgent supplier certificate packs for standards compliance.
* Advise suppliers on certification requirements and deliver targeted training as required.
* Perform witness testing at accredited test houses.
* Maintain quality standards across business processes and identify improvement actions.
* Execute internal audits and support 2nd/3rd party audit activities.
* Compile monthly QA metrics, reports and KPIs.
* Provide QA assessment for Change Management requests.
* Maintain records of supplier NCRs, corrective actions and customer returns.
* Support customer return investigations using 8D and related problem-solving tools.
* Assist Goods Receiving and Final Inspection with incoming and final quality issues.
* Contribute to supplier performance reviews, audits and corrective-action closure.
* Monitor quality performance of new or re-sourced components.
* Maintain controlled quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
* Investigate product/process failures and implement corrective actions (8D, 5Y).
Skills and Experience for Quality Technician
* Experience within a manufacturing, supplier or distribution environment.
* Working knowledge of quality testing techniques and material standards.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and analyse data.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001, API standards and core quality methodologies.
