Job Description:
The cost controller role plays an integral part of the finance team to assist with maintaining and efficient and accurate finance function within Texo Group.
This is done predominantly by monitoring and controlling project costs in order to accurately forecast the projects performance against budget. This is imperative to ensure that the company is capturing all relevant costs and recovering these from clients and therefore critical to the company's financial success.
RELATIONSHIPS
The cost controller interfaces with both internal and external parties including (but not limited to):
* Accounts Assistant
* Management Accountant
* Finance Director
* Business Support Manager
* Suppliers/subcontractors
* Customers
* Project teams
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for all project cost control functions
* Tracking and reporting of project costs incurred and reporting any deviations from budgets
* Tracking and approval of project labour and materials costs
* Ensuring all reimbursable costs are tracked and recovered on client invoicing
* Support project managers through regular cost/revenue report updates
* Assisting in work in progress calculations for month end accounts preparation
* Maintain project costing system to ensure accurate records
* Assist in raising purchase orders where required
* Provide ad hoc support to project teams where required
