We are seeking an experienced and driven
Purchasing Manager
to lead and develop our procurement function. This is a key role for someone who understands the importance of strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and material availability in a high-precision, high-regulation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all purchasing activities across the aerospace division
Source and manage suppliers for raw materials, components, tooling, and subcontract services
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure best value and continuity of supply
Work closely with production, quality, and planning teams to ensure material availability and delivery schedules are met
Monitor supplier performance (OTIF, quality, cost) and implement improvement actions as needed
Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities within the supply chain
Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems and ensure smooth P2P process
Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, certifications, and traceability requirements
Develop supplier risk management plans and maintain robust supply chain resilience
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a Purchasing or Procurement Manager role, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Understanding of aerospace material specifications, traceability, and regulatory compliance (AS9100, etc.)
Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, or similar)
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment
What We Offer

£50,000, depending on experience
