Responsibilities: Provide individualised, 1:1 support to a pupil in line with their EHCP and learning needs. Help the child engage in classroom activities by breaking down tasks and offering reassurance and encouragement. Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development using positive, nurturing approaches. Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to follow support strategies. Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours. Ensure the child’s wellbeing, comfort, and safety throughout the school day. Requirements: Has experience working in care, support work, or a similar people-focused role. Is patient, empathetic, and confident working with children with additional needs. Has good communication skills and can build trusting relationships.
