CPL Healthcare UK are currently assisting New Zealand’s largest private healthcare provider to recruit a number of GPs to join their teams at various sites.
Employer:
This provider is currently tending to patients at over 40 sites across areas such as Auckland, Christchurch, Whangarei and Palmerston North and they now have a mix of GP roles and Urgent Care doctors posts available.
Rotas:
The team are looking to recruit GPs and Urgent Care doctors (FY3 equivalent or higher) to work full time (40 hours per week) and rotas will include as least 1 weekend every fortnight at their own site or one of the nearby sites. Candidates will be expected to start work within one week of arriving via a relocation package and sponsored visa route.
The General Practices operate on an appointment basis and are open 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
The Walk In Clinics operate Monday to Sunday 8am-8pm
Salaries:
The GP salary is based on $120-140 per hour rates.
The Urgent Care salary is based on $75-105 per hour rates.
Eligibility:
Doctors should have a medical degree from one of the following countries ideally; Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Denmark, Spain, Singapore. The minimum requirement for candidates who have qualifications overseas (outside of UK and Ireland) but practice in UK and Ireland need to have 36 months practice out of the last 48 months.
Candidates will need to have their qualifications verified by EPIC prior to applying to the NZ medical council
Potential Candidates:
Urgent care clinics potential candidate information:
1. FY 3 doctors who have experience in emergency/ortho/triage
2. They would need to commit minimum 1-year contract and will receive a practicing cert for urgent care
Any potential General Practice candidates will need to have specialist registration. They will then be required to work under supervision for six months before obtaining the equivalent upgrade on the NZ licence.
Relocation and Visa:
The time it takes to relocate can be as quickly as just 4 months if the circumstances are straightforward and all goes to plan, however for some candidates can take up to 12 months.
The client have a specialist relocation expert and they will sponsor a three year visa under which you can add your spouse and/or children too. With this visa you can apply for residency after 2 years. You will need meet the following criteria to be eligible for this:

4. Contract of 12 months or more
5. Medical registration from NZ medical council
6. Be under the age of 55
7. Meet the English language requirements
