Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will provide detailed financial support, assisting with financial record keeping, calculations of fee income, payroll, and supporting the day-to-day financial transactions of the business. If you're a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail and a drive to own your work, you'll excel in this role where you'll manage diverse responsibilities with professionalism and business insight.
What will you do?
* Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record management
* Accurate calculation of nursery fees and clear communication with parents regarding invoices.
* Efficiently raising invoices and proactively following up on outstanding payments.
* Managing weekly payment runs and ensuring healthy cash flow.
* Preparing essential financial reports such as management accounts, reconciliations, and cash flow statements.
* Providing vital support in the calculation of payroll across our growing network of nurseries.
* Preparation of VAT returns and other compliance tasks
* Use relevant technology platforms, such as Xero, Monday.com, Family
* Support the nursery application process by obtaining HMRC funding codes from parents and inputting them into the designated portal
What will you bring to the table?
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial experience
* Qualification in a related field
* Proficiency in Xero software, Monday and Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong organisational skills and a methodical working style
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
