Faculty of Health and Life Science
We have two Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner roles available in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. There is one full-time post and one part-time (0.5 FTE) post, both available from 1 December 2025 on a fixed term basis for 24 months in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (Psychology / Mood Disorders Centre), based at the Streatham campus. The roles offer the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Summary of the role
These posts are part of a wider research team delivering the Wellcome Trust funded “Understanding the mechanisms driving the reduction of repetitive negative thought” project. This large-scale flagship research project seeks to understand the active ingredients of cognitive-behavioural therapies that reduce worry and rumination, to optimise transdiagnostic interventions to prevent and treat common mental health disorders.
We are looking for enthusiastic staff who can contribute to the Calming Minds Project. We are seeking qualified and IAPT Talking Therapies-experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to provide support and guidance for the guided CBT intervention (blended treatment supporting online digital treatment), support provided by email, telephone/videoconference.
You will be a skilled practitioner who has a thoughtful and adaptable approach to your work, as well as a real interest in managing complex difficulties and sensitively supporting participants, clinical research and expanding your psychological treatment skills. You will also be committed to the advancement of psychological treatments for hard-to-treat patients. A DBS check will need to be completed.

The starting salary will be from £33,951 up to £39,906 on Grade E (per annum pro rata for the part-time role), depending on qualifications and experience.
