Assembly Operative (Mechanical)
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset, ( Transport needed )
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour to £18.47 per hour overtime after 37.5 worked,
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00, Temp ongoing
Holiday: (25 days + 8 Bank Holidays accumulative)

Pertemps are currently recruiting Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturing company based in Clevedon. The company produces specialist vacuum and exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor industry.
Ideal candidates will come from a hands-on, “on-the-tools” background, including experience in roles such as mechanical fitter, maintenance technician, fabricator, automotive or vehicle mechanic, toolmaker, CNC operator, or similar practical engineering positions.
Key Duties
o Mechanical assembly of frames, brackets and components
o Building sub-assemblies using tools and equipment
o Installing pipework and mechanical components
o Fitting heaters and insulation to pipe runs
o Following basic engineering drawings and work instructions
o Supporting general production and assembly tasks
o Maintaining a clean and safe work area
What We’re Looking For
o Previous assembly, manufacturing or engineering experience
o Experience using hand tools and working with mechanical parts
o Ability to follow instructions and drawings
o Good attention to detail
o Reliable and able to work both independently and in a team
o Experience in roles such as Assembly Operative, Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic, CNC Operator, Fabricator or Production Operative would be beneficial, but not essential.
Additional Information
o £13.85 per hour (+£27,007 per annum basic)
o £18.47 per hour overtime after 37.5 worked hours
o If available £20.78 per hour Saturday & £27.70 per hour Sunday
o A choice of either Weekly or Monthly pay.
o Due to the location, candidates should live locally to Clevedon or have their own transport.
