Facilities Engineer - Plumbing
Springfield Hospital - Chelmsford
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Springfield Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals, renowned for delivering high-quality treatments and services. Opened in 1987, it currently has 49 bedrooms, including three twin-bedded rooms, all with en-suite facilities to ensure privacy throughout your stay.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Facilities Engineer to join our dedicated facilities team.
You will be an expert in plumbing and heating, with skills in other trades, working as part of a team to maintain hospital facilities.
Primarily based at Springfield Hospital, the successful candidate will also support Oaks Hospital in Colchester and have basic knowledge of the Eastern Sterile Services Centre in Braintree for emergency support.
You will participate in an on-call rota, working 1 week in 5, supporting Springfield and Oaks. An on-call enhancement rate is payable.
What you will bring
* City & Guilds Qualifications or equivalent (e.g., Plumbing - C&G 6035, Craft, C&G 6189, Plumbing and Heating, C&G 3345 water regs, unvented systems)
* Full driver's license and access to a car
* Previous hospital facilities experience (desirable)
* A logical and practical approach to challenges, prioritizing patient and colleague safety
