We are working with a 'Good' secondary school in Chafford Hundred, Grays, who are seeking a committed and organised Exams Officer to join them on a permanent basis from February. This is a key role within the school, ensuring that all internal and external examinations are planned, organised and run smoothly, in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate all internal and external examinations across the school
* Manage exam entries, registrations and exam timetables
* Liaise with exam boards, senior leaders, Heads of Department and teaching staff
* Organise exam rooms, seating plans and invigilation staff
* Ensure compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations at all times
* Oversee the secure storage, receipt and distribution of exam papers and materials
* Support with results days, including processing and distributing results and managing post-results services
* Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required
Qualifications
* Experience in an exams, data or administration role (school or education setting desirable)
* Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
* Confident using MIS systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Able to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with staff, students, parents and external agencies
* A proactive, reliable and flexible approach
