ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
RVL Aviation is a specialist aviation services provider, based at East Midlands Airport. Our company
has been trusted to deliver challenging airborne capabilities on behalf of government agencies and
private sector organisations for four decades. Such operations cover a broad range of missions,
including:
* Combatting major oil spills and efforts to prevent pollution incidents through enforcement and
monitoring.
* Locating persons missing at sea and those that use the sea as a domain for criminal activity.
* Protection of the UK's economic interests in its sea areas by providing reconnaissance for
fisheries regulation, and maritime security.
* Undertaking airborne equipment and sensor trials.
Working specifically within our Specialist Operations Department, the post holder will be responsible
for:
* The coordination of multiple projects (tracking timelines, tasks, and progress)
* Projects will include flight ops (operations, exercises, trials), engineering projects, events, and bids.
* Programme oversight – including monitoring of subcontractor/supplier performance, and
tracking of our own performance for KPI reporting.
* Business development support (maintenance of a customer relationship management system,
and practical support for BD events/exhibitions).
* Service management support (tracking of KPIs, tasks, meetings).
* Adhoc duties as required within remit of the role.
The postholder's completion of the above duties will assist the Head of Department in ensuring that the
department's resources are used effectively.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, and the aptitude to learn/use specialist computer programs with appropriate training.
* Ability to communicate effectively across different professional disciplines.
* Ability to manage concurrent and varied workloads.
* Ability and willingness to assimilate new information/concepts to grasp the task at hand.

* An interest in the relevant subject matters.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to undertake the following checks and training:
* Airport Airside Security Pass screening process (5-year continuous education/work and
residence history)
* Baseline Personnel Security Clearance process
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Given the nature of the team's operations, in addition to the 'business as usual' responsibilities, there
is also the opportunity to contribute to the team's efforts in a 'response' or operational setting. This
could include:
* Incident management/coordination duties, or
* Practical support to engineering/ground ops/flight ops, or
* Practical support to trials/exercises/demonstrations
Aside from the specific (additional) duties that an applicant may express an interest in, the post holder
will be given the opportunity to undertake study/training to build their knowledge in the subject areas
relevant to our programmes. This is especially the case for marine pollution topics, given the
significance this area has for our business.
