We are looking for experienced Butchers to run our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This exciting role involves working with customers to develop their business, understanding your local market, and providing excellent service.
This position offers the flexibility to operate a butchery business without the financial risk. We seek someone with good product knowledge of all meat proteins, who is self-motivated and eager to succeed.
Responsibilities include maintaining high standards in stock management, food safety procedures (including record keeping), managing fresh and pre-packed meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
You will collaborate with the Store Manager to develop a business plan aimed at increasing sales and profitability of your department.
Your duties will also involve greeting and advising customers, processing orders, managing stock and stocktaking, leading a small team (including staff rotas), cutting meat to order, cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, coordinating deliveries or pickups, and controlling waste.
