A growing UK technology manufacturer is looking to strengthen its production team with the addition of a Computer Assembly Technician.
The business designs and builds specialist hardware systems used within commercial environments across the UK and internationally. The Role
Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for assembling computer hardware units from detailed build documentation and bills of materials.
You will support the full build process from physical assembly through to basic software installation and system setup.
This is a practical, process-driven role suited to individuals who enjoy structured technical work rather than design or theoretical engineering.
Typical build lead times are approximately four weeks, requiring strong organisation and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble computer and hardware systems in line with build specifications
• Work from bills of materials, technical documentation and quality procedures
• Support software installation and configuration activities
• Maintain high quality standards across all stages of the production process
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Contribute to achieving production targets and delivery schedules
• Identify and resolve basic technical or build issues
Candidate Profile

• Computer hardware or PC assembly
• Electronics or technical manufacturing environments
• Production or workshop-based technical roles
• Working from structured build documentation or BOMs
• Practical problem solving and attention to detail
• IT literacy including Microsoft Office 365
