Build Technology That Makes a Real Difference

A growing UK technology manufacturer is looking to strengthen its production team with the addition of a Computer Assembly Technician.

The business designs and builds specialist hardware systems used within commercial environments across the UK and internationally. With a strong order book and consistent demand, this role offers long-term stability, structured training and the opportunity to develop within a professional manufacturing setting.

If you enjoy hands-on technical work, building systems to high quality standards and being part of a collaborative production team, this could be an excellent next step.

The Role

Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for assembling computer hardware units from detailed build documentation and bills of materials.

You will support the full build process from physical assembly through to basic software installation and system setup.

This is a practical, process-driven role suited to individuals who enjoy structured technical work rather than design or theoretical engineering.

Typical build lead times are approximately four weeks, requiring strong organisation and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble computer and hardware systems in line with build specifications
• Work from bills of materials, technical documentation and quality procedures
• Support software installation and configuration activities
• Maintain high quality standards across all stages of the production process
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Contribute to achieving production targets and delivery schedules
• Identify and resolve basic technical or build issues

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in:

• Computer hardware or PC assembly
• Electronics or technical manufacturing environments
• Production or workshop-based technical roles
• Working from structured build documentation or BOMs
• Practical problem solving and attention to detail
• IT literacy including Microsoft Office 365

Backgrounds that typically transfer well include:

• IT hardware build technicians
• Electronics assembly technicians
• Production / bench technicians
• Server build or data centre technicians
• Technical manufacturing operatives

Benefits

• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Overtime opportunities
• Electric vehicle scheme
• Company social and charity initiatives
• Life assurance / group protection

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing technology business with a strong production pipeline and clear processes in place.

You will play a key role in delivering high quality technical products while developing your own practical skills within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
