Our customer is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join its litigation group in Europe as a Legal Assistant/Legal Operations Specialist. This role combines traditional litigation paralegal support with legal operations responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience and interest in both areas.
Based in the United Kingdom, the successful candidate will support the litigation team by providing comprehensive assistance and driving process improvements through technology and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Litigation Support: Manage litigation files, prepare and file legal documents, conduct legal research, assist with discovery, maintain litigation calendars, coordinate with internal departments, track litigation costs, and prepare reports.
2. Legal Operations: Identify process improvement opportunities, develop and implement new procedures, participate in legal technology initiatives, support knowledge management, and assist with spend management across European jurisdictions.
Required Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Proactive problem-solving and adaptability
* Interest in legal operations and process improvement (highly desirable)
Experience:
* Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
* Litigation support experience (highly preferred)
* Legal operations or process improvement experience (highly preferred)
