Dual Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Homes
Location: East Cheshire
Salary: Up to £72,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday with shared on-call duties
About the Company
We are working with a small, family-oriented provider operating two children’s residential homes in East Cheshire, supporting children and young people aged 5–17 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), including those on DOL orders. One of the homes recently achieved a Good Ofsted rating on its first inspection.
About the Role
This is a dual Registered Manager role overseeing both two-bed homes. You will be responsible for leadership, compliance, and the day-to-day running of both homes, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance. This is a rare opportunity to manage two well-resourced homes with settled staff teams, supported by an experienced senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead operations across both homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
* Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and quality assurance for all young people.
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for both homes.
* Recruit, mentor, and develop staff teams to maintain a positive, child-centred culture.
* Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels effectively.
* Build strong partnerships with local authorities, schools, and healthcare professionals.
Person Specification
Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential childcare, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted frameworks, and children’s home regulations.
* Experience managing multiple services or homes.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
* Resilient, emotionally intelligent, and committed to child-focused care.
